Our farm-raised, freshwater aquaculture methods of fishing are certified sustainable. Unlike wild- caught fish which are subjected to over fishing and is causing irreversible damage to aquatic eco- systems all over the world.
Our collagen also has a significantly reduced Carbon footprint and Environmental impact when compared to Bovine or Porcine collagen alternatives.
Aquaculture and processing facilities used to produce our collagen have earned international certification for environmental and social responsibility.
Most collagen producers used dual sourced or multiple mixed fish specifies within the collagen production.
This is significant because this leads to differing amino acid profiles each time.
However, our pure single source eliminates this risk and leads to a consistent amino acid profile each time.
The single sourced fish skins are processed fresh within 24 hours of being caught. This methodology minimises waste as the fresher the fish the more collagen can be extracted from it, resulting in a greater yield per kilo of fish.
